UPDATE May 23, 2020: We are now holding public services with limited attendance in accordance with the phased reopening of the Diocese of the Midwest and the State of Kansas. Sign up here to attend Divine Liturgy. Services will be streamed on the St. Nicholas YouTube channel.

Please see the Coronavirus (COVID-19) Resource Page provided by the Diocese of the Midwest for additional resources to aid our prayer at home.

Saint Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Christian Church, formed in 2002, is a mission parish of the Orthodox Church in America’s Diocese of the Midwest. We hold services in a small white house that was donated to the parish in 2013 and which we remodeled for liturgical use during the summer of 2014. We are now raising funds to build a permanent Orthodox temple.

We work to provide a daily presence of prayer and Orthodox teaching in the heart of Lawrence. We have a weekly study group, active catechumenate, and sponsor the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) at the University of Kansas. Our OCF is a vibrant group of undergraduate and graduate students. Over the years we have had students from all over the country and from abroad. We meet regularly while university is in session for meals and discussion.
